| RITMìA®
is an innovative form of Early Childhood Music Education created by the
Italian bassoon player Sonia Simonazzi. Sonia is from Mantova and lives
in Piacenza (near Milan and Reggio Emilia). Coming from a humble hard working family, she grew the love for music and made her parents to support her dream. She graduated from the Music
Conservatory of Parma with the highest grades and at the early age of
19, started to create RITMìA®. Moreover, Sonia has studied and worked in Italy with the finest yoga's teachers.
A bassoon and baroque-bassoon player, music researcher, music educator and yoga instructor (see pics here), Sonia holds training
programs for teachers, workshops for parents, classes and labs for
children. From 1999 to 2001, she was selected as one of the experts in Cremona (Italy) for the "International Mus-E Project" (Musica in Europa), promoted by the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation of Bruxelles, in cooperation with the European Economic Community (CEE) and UNESCO, and for experimental training initiatives coordinated by the Departments of Education of Piacenza, Cremona, Padova.
